During the month of October I visited the ski shows – one at Olympia in London and one at the NEC in Birmingham. I love the snow because it gives me a chance to practise my extreme winter weather parking. But I also love the fact that with the low cost airlines offering great value deals to Europe it has never been easier to fit in some winter sports over the season.
The accuracy of snow reports is always improving and with many resorts offering live web cams on their websites, you can see the snow conditions before you book your travel.
Both ski shows were buzzing with new kit and funky ski fashions –my black driving suit stood out amongst the Technicolor dazzle of pinks, lime green and powder (sic) blues.
As the shows were on over half-term I met several of my younger fans and was able to give out autographs and have my picture taken with some too. Carrying kit and family is such a chore when flying out on a winter sport holiday and I was glad to meet so many regular customers who rely on Meteor to provide their airport parking.
