Meteor meet and greet’s continued sponsorship of the British Disabled Ski Team, who have recently competed at Thyon’s Telemark World Cup, has paid off.
Sarah Hannibal had a great run in the Classic race achieving a commendable 16th place ahead of a strong field of girls.
The team then made their way to Meribel where they prepared for a Classic Sprint in the evening followed by a Telemark Classic race early the next morning.
Ian Roberts and Jack Harvard then went onto the next World Cup which was held in Gran Pallars Espot, a small resort up in the Spanish Pyrenees. In the GS Jack Harvard found his form, putting down two quick runs which put him in 25th position. In the Classic Sprint Jack Harvard finished in 27th and Ian Roberts followed in 33rd.
With just over a week until the World Cup finals in Hafjell, Norway, the team are now back in the UK training hard and keeping on top of work commitments. Running alongside the finals in Hafjell will be the Junior World Championship. This year Jasmin Taylor and Anna Morrissey have been selected to represent the British Junior Telemark Team and compete at this event.
