Meteor meet and greet is a division of Meteor Parking Ltd hereinafter referred to as Meteor who are a member of the British Parking Association, the Gatwick Parking Association and an associate member of IAPRA.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Your statutory rights are not affected
1. Bookings & Service
1.1 Bookings through our web site are deemed to be made when final confirmation of the booking has been sent via e-mail.
1.2 Telephone bookings are deemed to have been made when confirmed by the Meteor telephone representative.
1.3 All services are subject to availability
1.4 Meteor reserve the right not to accept or fulfil a booking
1.5 All prices are quoted in UK Pound Sterling and include VAT. Prices quoted can be subject to change.
1.6 We confirm any payment information given to Meteor by you will only be used by Meteor and will not be distributed to any other organisation under any circumstance.
1.7 Whilst every effort is made to ensure that collections and deliveries of vehicles are made at the requested times, Meteor does not accept any responsibility for delays of its service, caused as a result of circumstances beyond its control, such as traffic congestion, delayed flights, security alerts etc.
1.8 Heathrow – Meteor parks cars in secure car parks which have fencing and 24 hour security. You are advised to ensure that your own insurance covers all risks. Meteor does not provide any additional insurance cover whilst your vehicle is parked. Meteor do not accept long wheel based vans.
1.9 Birmingham – Meteor parks cars in secure short and long stay car parks approved by Birmingham Airport. However, these car parks have public access and therefore Meteor cannot accept any liability where damage is caused by third parties. You are advised to ensure that your own insurance covers all risks
1.10 Gatwick – Meteor only stores cars in secure car parks awarded with the Park Mark award which do not have public access. Due to increased insurance premiums, Meteor do not accept reservations for the following cars Ferrari, Aston Martin and Maserati.
1.11 Manchester – MAP facilitates our Manchester bookings. Cars are parked in our secure car park with 24 hour security, fencing and CCTV.
1.12 All bookings are subject to MAP's terms and conditions, a copy of which can be provided on request.
1.13 Stansted - Meteor parks cars in secure car parks with fencing and lighting and 24 hour security.
1.14 Liverpool - Skypark facilitates our Liverpool bookings. Cars are parked in a secure car park with 24 hour security, fencing and CCTV.
1.15 Meteor does not provide any additional insurance cover whilst your vehicle is parked.
2. Payment
2.1 If a payment by card or other means is declined, Meteor reserve the right not to fulfil your booking.
2.2 Increased duration of stay will be debited to the clients account and payment collected prior to the return of the vehicle
2.3 Full payment of the booked service is due prior to commencement of the service.
2.4 Meteor reserves the right to apply to the DVLA for names and addresses where payment has not been made.
3. Cancellation and Curtailment
3.1 A booking may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the date and time for which the service has been booked and a full refund less £10 administration costs will be made. If a booking is cancelled within 24 hours no refund will be made.
3.2 For the purpose of condition 3.1 the period for which the service is booked shall be deemed to commence at the collection date and time specified at time of booking for the service booked.
3.3 Any customer wishing to curtail the length of stay for a service once that service has commenced will be liable to pay the fee for the whole of the service booked
3.4 If a vehicle is returned within 6 hours of collection and re-booked to depart within 48 hours of original departure date then a partial refund may be applied for, in writing subject to our discretion.
3.5 If an amendment is to be made after departure has commenced the relevant airport must be contacted
4. Liabilities and other Terms
4.1 Our insurances cover our legal liabilities
4.2 Vehicles and Contents are left at Owners risk whilst the vehicle is parked.
4.3 The customer warrants that he is the owner of the vehicle or has the power to deal with the vehicle as if he were its owner.
4.4 Claims for damage will not be considered unless reported to a Meteor Representatives immediately on the return of the vehicle. Claims for damage will not be considered once the car has left our care and control.
4.5 We accept no liability for mechanical, structural or electrical failure of any part of your vehicle including windscreens, alarms, immobilisers, glass, flat batteries, tyres and wheels howsoever caused.
4.6 Meteor accepts no liability for any loss or damage howsoever caused unless proved to be caused by the negligence, wilful act or default or breach of statutory duty of the employees of Meteor Parking Ltd. In the event of damages being claimed the amount payable shall not exceed £100 per claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits Meteor’s liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of one of its employees. Meteor will not accept liability for damage arising from circumstances beyond its control including acts of God , acts of nature and terrorism, war, riots, flooding.
4.7 Your vehicle must be taxed and comply with the Road Traffic Act. You will be held liable for any fines, liabilities and consequential loss we incur from a failure to do this. Meteor reserves the right to refuse your vehicle on the day and no refund will be given.
4.8 We accept no liability for any faulty car keys, alarm fobs, house or other keys left on the keyring. You must ensure you leave the drivers with the right keys, alarm fobs and instructions to start your vehicle
4.9 Where possible, we require you to have a spare key for your vehicle which we require you take with you.
4.10 If any provision of these terms is found by any court to be wholly or partly illegal, invalid or unenforceable, unfair or unreasonable then it shall be deemed severable from the remaining provisions which will continue in full force and effect
4.11 These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts
