Terminal 1

Parking at Heathrow Terminal 1 made easy

The majority of flights from Heathrow Terminal 1 are either domestic or short haul, although a handful of European and long haul destinations are still catered for. With almost 20 airlines operating from Terminal 1 and over 25 million passengers passing through its gates each year, car parking spaces near to the termianl are often in short supply.

Needless to say the parking spaces nearest to the terminal that are available are charged at a significant premium. Perhaps this is why so many passengers looking for parking at Heathrow Terminal 1 seek more cost-effective alternatives.

Whilst parking at Heathrow Terminal 1 is a popular option many travellers do not realise how far the actual long stay car park is from the terminal. Some park off site and travel via shuttle bus to the airport. In both cases a bus transfer is involved to take you to the terminal. Many passengers also use a bus transfer when parking at Heathrow Terminal 4. Packages involving off site parking do however have several disadvantages.

Aside from the extra hassle involved with additional loading and unloading of baggage waiting times fro shuttle buses can vary considerably; therefore you may find yourself having to leave upto two hours earlier than would have otherwise been necessary.
