Originally called the Europa Building, Terminal 2 was actually Heathrow's first terminal. Until its closure for refurbishment in November 2009, Terminal 2 was home to 30 airlines, carrying more than eight million passengers per annum. The terminal is expected to open to passengers again in 2014.
